Purifying Wetlands
Project design and execution
Welcome to our space dedicated to biopools and natural pools, where the harmony between humans and nature becomes a refreshing and healthy experience.
Biopools are innovative alternatives to conventional pools, using natural methods to keep the water clean and clear without the need for harsh chemicals.

Comprised of a bathing area where you can enjoy pure water and another space dedicated to regeneration, these pools use aquatic plants and biological processes to filter and purify the water.

Discover the benefits of biopools and transform your outdoor space into a natural retreat. Immerse yourself in nature!
Origins of biopools
The origin of biopools, or natural pools, dates back to landscape design practices and aquatic constructions in ancient cultures, although their modern development began to take shape in Europe, especially in Austria and Germany, in the 1980s.
These first biopools were created in response to growing concerns about the use of chemicals in traditional pool water treatment and their environmental impact.
The concept was inspired by aquatic ecosystems, where plants and microorganisms work together to naturally purify water. The idea was applied in small leisure facilities and eventually became popular in Europe, being adopted in numerous residential and public projects.
Today, biopools can be found all over the world, from private gardens to recreational facilities in parks. This innovative approach not only promotes human well-being but also respects and preserves the environment, while offering an aesthetically pleasing and sustainable alternative for enjoying the water.
They are known as natural pools, biopools, eco-lagoons or eco-pools.
